Have you started reading yet?

I’m humbled by the wonderful feedback I’ve gotten so far. Now that the book is published, I’m in the position of a chef who has made a new dish and is peeking through the kitchen door to the dining room, hoping the diners will like it.

Here are a few quick updates:

I’m gathering links to online reviews, and there are already a few to read.

If you’ve read the book, and would like to share your thoughts with others, please rate and review at Amazon. Reader reviews influence other potential readers.

I wrote a guest blog post for Brandy at Afterthoughts on Charlotte Mason’s views on evolution.

I’ve added a blog feature to my website, and one of the things I’ll use it for is discussing a few homeschooling products that make use of synthetic rather than analytic thinking. Stay tuned!

For now, the Study Guide for Consider This will remain available for free. I’m working on creating a printed version as well, in case anyone is interested in having a physical copy.

Thank you for your continued interest.

  1. I have started reading, and I am IN LOVE with your book! I still have a bit to go, but I will be happy to write an Amazon review when I’ve finished it. It has given me such wonderful ideas to ‘consider’, and I love the global over-arching look at Mason’s philosophy that you provide. Thanks for putting your thoughts into writing so that we, too, can share in them.

  2. Karen, I’m reading this with great delight. My neck hurts from nodding so much. I”m also working on a new website that may be up in the next week or so, and I will have a review there. I’m on Chapter 5 – almost halfway, I guess – and I am already anticipating my second read-through over Christmas Break. There is much here.

  3. I’ve just started reading it, and I purchased Charlotte Mason’s Parents and Children to read the suggested reading pages for chapters 1 and 2. My copy (2008 publication) only has 208 pages and your study guides says to read pages 249-56 for chapter 1. Are you able to tell me what pages that would be in my copy or what chapter? Thank you.
